Carmen, a respiratory therapist, uses art as an escape from the death and destruction of the world. Gabby, a young black college student copes with a world of perfectionism through her abstract art. After a divorce, Erin leaves her old life behind, finding independence in a creative outlet. Katie copes with leaving her family in England and discovers life after her kids through her newfound talent. Candace discovers her life has a deeper purpose: painting portraits.
